1-48TACTIC: Lanzerath Ridge – Hold at all costs!

A mission pack expansion for 1-48TACTIC, set in 1944, during the Ardennes offensive, based on the real Battle of Lanzerath Ridge which was fought on the very first day of the Battle of the Bulge, near the village of Lanzerath, Belgium, along the key route for the German advance on the northern shoulder of the operation. A small group of US Infantry facing a whole German battalion of Fallschirmjägers try to hold off overwhelmingly superior forces for as long as possible.

The US forces here plays an outnumbered defender that must delay the German attacker as long as possible. The German forces are overwhelmingly superior and will eventually prevail, but the limited amount of AT available greatly limit the ability of the German player to exploit his superiority in men and firepower. Moreover the attackers have to move to reach their objective, while the defenders can use most of their Actions to fire on them.

pack includes: • A 52 pages full color booklet with all the rules; • A special metal figures of a German Fallschirmjäger armed with a rifle grenade launcher (25mm round plastic base included); • A special resin figures of a US soldier firing a .50 M2 machine gun (two models of which are also included); • Resin models of a small log hut, a camouflaged timber pillbox and a dug-in armored jeep.
