Attack on R'lyeh

Great War is in its last stages, after almost five years of unnecessary bloodshed nations in the conflict found out their plight was orchestrated by a dark cult. From the shadowy island of R'lyeh that was risen from the deep and obscured by magical fog, humankind was puppetered into war that took millions of lives for nothing. True face of the enemy has been revealed by a group of investigators and without any doubt presented to leaders of once mighty empires. Now, time is almost night for the old god to awake from its sleep that took eons, great Cthulhu will bring madness and destruction to the whole world. But, there is still slim hope - a powerful relic from the past, Scepter of Hypnos would be able to put the old god back into his eternal slumber. This is the story of humanity's greatest challenge, where all nations were brought as one to strike a blow into the very heart of evil. Mission is simple: land forces onto R'lyeh beaches and push trough horror and madness all the way to Necropolis, where group of investigators will perform a ritual with the scepter and save the world. But, no one knows what terrors await human forces...

SEQUENCE of PLAY

Each turn is consistent of 6 phases: Expedition phase, Event phase, Supply and Support phase, Combat phase, Counter-Attack phase and Morale phase.

Main Mission and Objectives

Capture at least 2 black areas. Hold an area with Tomb of Cthulhu with a brigade that has Investigator's unit attached to it till the end of a turn.

National plan – Secondary Objectives Roll one d6 to get a random secondary objective or use one of your choice.

 French Republic – Capture all areas of the central peninsula (small island connected with bridges to the main landmass).
 German Empire – Hold both areas with Portals.
 Ottoman Empire – Hold Fort Marsh and Fort Barnabas.
 United Kingdom – Finish the game with at least 3 Relics or Artifacts in your possession.
 American Forces – Capture all green colored areas.
 Russian Empire – Capture all areas with +4 terrain bonus.

Important: if objective of secondary mission is to hold an area, during the turn when you are finishing a Main mission and objective, you also must hold areas as stated for the secondary objective. This means that in that last turn when you are winning the game, those areas must be held (there must be at least on friendly unit in that area that is not exhausted).

Winning and Losing a game

To win a game you must fulfill Main and Secondary mission objectives.

You lose the game if turn counter reaches a space with Cthulhu icon on it and you still didn't finish Main and Secondary mission objectives, or if a special Investigators counter is destroyed. You may also choose to resign a game if you see that due to the loses to your units it is not possible to finish mission parameters anymore.
