Dragons Arena is a two-player strategy and confrontation game using dice. However, it is accessible from 8 years old thanks to its clever implementation and the simplicity of its rules... But do not be fooled by this apparent simplicity, because the most experienced players are still likely to rack their brains and will take a lot of fun!

The two opponents play in turn. In turn, the attacking species must eliminate an enemy dragon with one of its adjacent dragons. It is also necessary that the dragon powers allow it. In most cases, a dragon can eliminate an enemy dragon if the latter has a strictly lower value. Special case: a dragon with a power of 1 is the only one who can eliminate dragons with a power of 6 ! The dragon used then takes the PLACE AND POWER of the dragon it has just eliminated.

If a species cannot eliminate any enemy dragon but has at least one dragon adjacent to an enemy dragon, it must, instead of eliminating a dragon, modify the power of the dragon of its choice (of its species or of its opponent). Once the dragon’s power has been modified, it places a force field (symbolized by the «square frame») around the dragon concerned, on the square. It is impossible to change the power of a dragon surrounded by a force field. This force field disappears if the dragon changes boxes to eliminate an enemy dragon or if it is eliminated itself.

The turn is completed at the end of one of these two actions (Eliminate an enemy dragon or Modify the power of a dragon of your choice).

The duel ends if there is no dragon left adjacent to an enemy dragon after a game turn OR if all remaining dragons are surrounded by a force field and the attacking species cannot eliminate an enemy dragon. The duel then ends immediately. We then add up the power of the dragons left for each species. The most powerful one wins the duel!
