Flysh - The Paradox of the Flying Fish
A tense push-your-luck card game for 2 to 3 players that puts you in the fins of a flying fish caught between sea and sky, on a vertical track ranging from -12m to +12m where two pressure markers, A (Air) and E (Water), close in round after round. Each player builds a card river across 7 slots, simultaneously chooses between a Flip draw pile or Flop draw pile, then moves their Exocet before revealing animal threats (birds, fish) and Air/Water phenomena that modify the track and Speed Points.
The biomes have distinct behaviors: in Water, Speed Points wrap around (overflow) and interact with the Mini-school, offering collective survival opportunities but under heavy predator pressure; in Air, speed accumulates without overflow, with the possibility of instant victory at exactly 10 Speed Points. The Wave Zone around 0m combines effects from both biomes: it's a strategic convergence point, highly flexible but particularly exposed.
Tension peaks when markers A and E meet and trigger the Boiling Cauldron, when a Fatal Bite eliminates a player, or at the end of the third round, where the slowest are caught. FLYSH is a survival and risk management game, blending simultaneous decisions, speed racing, and reading an asymmetric Air/Water system. It's designed for players who enjoy short but demanding games, where every card plays a role in the closing vise.
