Hellfire over Kraljevo

Print & Play Boardgame about the 1941 Insurgent siege of the German garrison of Kraljevo in occupied Serbia. Download and print out the Map file in A2 format and use an ordinary deck of Cards, with the 4 Card symbols denoting Insurgents (Hearts), Germans (Clubs), Time (Spades) and Chance (Diamonds).

Play as the INSURGENTS (Yugoslav Army/Chetniks with Communist Partisans) and try to liberate Kraljevo and take its garrison as POW, or as the GERMANS, and hold out until relief, or Chetnik-Partisan war, which will surely erupt.

The gameplay takes place on the 6 Map Spaces - 3 outside Spaces are controlled by the Insurgents, while the 3 inner Spaces (Agricultual School, Airport and the City of Kraljevo itself) are initially controlled by the Germans. The goal of the game is to control as many of inner Spaces, with the City of Kraljevo being the most important - Insurgents immediately win if they control it. Combat takes place between linked Spaces, with Players placing Cards face down during the first phase of the Turn, followed by drawing the Time Cards and consulting the Effects (German or Insurgent Reinforcements, Insurgent disunity, etc.). Finally, each Player has 2 rounds to initiate Combat or Move Cards. The Cards are revealed only when Combat is initiated. Chance Cards are used as a Combat Bonus. The goal is to have a total of 8 or more higher than the opponent, who then has to Discard a Card.
