Historia

In Historia the player takes control of a realm in the eve of civilization. As ruler you shape the fate of your realm over the course of the centuries, trying with all your might to raise it high above all others. Your goal is to increase the four attributes of your realm, Stability, Power, Culture and Wealth, by taking control of provinces on the map, constructing markets, cities and palaces and playing idea cards that define your form of government, religion, military organization and other aspects of your society.

Each round you are faced with a decisive event in the history of the realm. As ruler it rest upon your shoulders to decide how the situation should be handled. When the peasants rise up in anger for an example, will you soothe their feelings or crush them with an iron fist? An opponent will read the result of your actions in a History book with over 200 paragraphs.

At the end of a game you will have experienced a rich and unique history of your own, whether you won the game or not.

I Historia tar du makten över ett rike som reser sig ur civilisationens vagga. Under århundradenas lopp formar du dess öde, i strävan att resa riket högt över alla andra och så nå ära och odödligt minne. Sätt plogen i obrukat land för att föda din växande befolkning, eller kuva dina grannars undersåtar med erövrarens rätt. Sprid din kultur till andra folk, hungrande efter civilisationens ljus och frukter. Under spelets gång kommer du att inrätta idéer som definierar rikets styrelseskick, religion militär organisation och andra aspekter av samhället.

Varje tur ställs du dock för en avgörande händelse i rikets historia och som makthavare är det på dina axlar ansvaret vilar att fatta beslut om hur situationen skall hanteras. När bönderna gör uppror i vred och oförstånd, skall du då mana till besinning eller krossa resningen i blod? Och vad gör du när riket drabbas av krig, pest eller gudarnas vrede? Resultatet av dina val läses ur en händelsebok med över 200 paragrafer.

I slutet av spelet kommer du att ha upplevt en spännande och unik historia, oavsett som vunnit eller förlorat.
