Players strive to achieve victory by accomplishing two out of three specific goals outlined on their Character Cards, such as finding love, acquiring property, or completing personal ambitions.

Throughout the game, players can purchase Artificial Legs, each offering unique enhancements. Artificial Legs influence gameplay through key attributes like Appeal (affecting social interactions and relationships), Mobility (determining movement range), and Efficiency (affecting work capabilities and earnings). Not all Artificial Legs are equally beneficial, and players must carefully consider their options, manage maintenance costs, and decide when to use or sell them strategically. The game includes Location Cards that set diverse scenarios across various locations such as theatres, cottages, or slums, each offering different actions like working, finding love, buying property, or fulfilling personal objectives. Players encounter random Street Events that can impact their health, finances, or opportunities in unpredictable ways, adding elements of risk and chance to every turn.

Each turn, players can choose either to move around the city—potentially encountering random Street Events—or perform an action at their current location, such as working, finding love, or purchasing Artificial Legs. Successful completion of actions awards players Victory Tokens that mark progress toward their goals.
