Panzer este un sistem complet de joc conceput pentru acțiuni la scară mică, de la plutoane la batalioane, în timpul celui de-al Doilea Război Mondial. Accentul principal cade pe simularea de Armored Warfare, însă unitățile de infanterie și cele tractate fac parte din experiență. Fiecare jeton cu două fețe de 7/8 inch reprezintă un vehicul, un tun tractat sau o aeronavă. Jetoanele de infanterie de 5/8 inch reprezintă grupe, semigrupe și secțiuni, incluzând armamentul atașat. Este un sistem modular cu reguli de bază, avansate și opționale, pe care jucătorii le pot combina după preferințe. Toate datele unităților sunt incluse pe fișe colorate. Sistemul de comandă bazat pe jetoane asigură un ritm alert. Jocul de bază conține 10 scenarii, unele fiind destinate începătorilor. Unități incluse: Germane (7.5cm PaK 40, 8.8cm FlaK 36, Marder II, Pz IIIM, Pz IVG, Pz IVH, Pz V Panther, Pz VIB Tiger II, Pz VIE Tiger I, SdKfz 7, SdKfz 10, SdKfz 11, SPW 251/1, STuG IIIG, camioane; unități de infanterie), aviație germană (Fw 190 F-1, Hs 129 B-1/R-2), sovietice (57mm M43, 76mm).
