Pioneers: Queenie 2 – The Specialists

The Specialists is a mini-expansion for Pioneers that contains 18 specialist tiles. Before starting the game, you replace a number of pioneer tiles with specialist tiles, then carry out the normal set-up of the tiles on the board.

Specialists work like pioneers but are better: the banker specialist lets you take 3 dollars, the merchant specialist lets you take an action already taken this turn, the sergeant specialist lets you replace a road, the barkeeper specialist lets you replace one of your pioneers, the gold digger specialist lets you discard a gold nugget for dollars, and the farmer specialist lets you place an extra farmer on a stagecoach still containing a farmer.
