Planet 28: The Final Edition

Planet 28 is a toolbox system. Inspired by the work of miniature kitbashers and scratchbuilders, it provides players with all the tools they need to create characters of any miniature they have in their collection. The aim of planet 28 is to play games not just with the minis you have, but with the minis you want to play with. With the character creation rules you can create anything from a lowly mutant wielding a rusty club, to a 4 armed power armoured laser wielding radioactive death machine.

The core mechanics are quick and easy, with actions resolved using a simple D10 action roll. simply determine the skill against your character should roll, then roll under their skill value - simple! Of course there's far more to the game than that - with rules for morale, intelligence, off table actions, between game upkeep, character progression, squad actions, vehicles, injuries, and more, there's no end to the ways you can use planet 28.

Planet 28 is designed to be played in any way you see fit. At its most basic it's a player vs player slugfest with warbands going head to head to shoot, stab, slice, and psy each other to a bloody pulp.

Planet 28 can be played solo or cooperatively, with one or more players each controlling a single character facing off against either the solo mode A.I. (pen and paper A.I. - no apps here) or against a game master. don't be too careful though, as secret agendas might give your fellow players a reason to put a laser bolt in your back!

With the off table and in-between game rules, you can even play planet 28 as a miniature roleplaying game, with a game master creating encounters for your characters to face off against together.

Finally, with the squad and vehicle rules you can play planet 28 as a full on wargame, with your characters taking on the role of battlefield heroes in a full scale high powered battle of tanks and troopers!

Planet 28 - the final edition is an update to the 2nd edition rulebook of planet 28. Taking on board 6 years of player feedback since the first edition was published, the goal is to publish the last edition of planet 28 anyone will ever need. We want the final edition to be the best version of planet 28 that has ever or could ever be!
