Ra

To set up the game, each player receives a player board and a set of sun tokens (bidding tokens) based on the number of players (9 for 2 players, 13 for 3-4 players, 16 for 5 players). The Ra figure is placed next to the auction track, and the sun boat is placed on the '1' space of the track. All other tiles, including monument, civilization, gold, Nile, flood, pharaoh, and Ra tiles, are shuffled together and placed into a bag. Each player also starts with two 5-point victory tokens.

The objective of Ra is to accumulate the most victory points over three epochs. Players earn victory points by successfully bidding on and collecting sets of various tiles, such as monuments, civilizations, and gold. Strategic management of sun tokens for bidding and avoiding negative points from disaster tiles are crucial for victory.

During a player's turn, they have three possible actions: 1. Draw a tile: The player draws a tile from the bag and places it face-up on the auction track. If a Ra tile is drawn, it is discarded, and the sun boat moves one space. If the sun boat reaches the end of the track, an auction is immediately triggered. 2. Call 'Ra': The player calls 'Ra' to initiate an auction for all tiles currently on the auction track. 3. Discard a god tile: The player may discard a god tile from their hand to immediately take any one tile from the auction track, without an auction.

Scoring occurs at the end of each epoch (after the sun boat reaches the end of the track or all Ra tiles are drawn). Players score points for different types of tiles: Gold tiles grant 3 points each. Pharaoh tiles award points to the player with the most (5 points) and penalize the player with the fewest (-2 points). Nile and Flood tiles score based on having both types. Civilization tiles score based on the variety of types collected. Monument tiles score based on sets of the same type. Disaster tiles can cause negative points or force players to discard other tiles. Sun tokens are also scored at the end of the game.

The game concludes after the third epoch. At this point, all players calculate their final scores by adding up points from their collected tiles and their remaining sun tokens. The player with the highest total victory points is declared the winner. In case of a tie, the player with the highest value sun token wins.
