Twilight of the Free Planet's Alliance: Operation Ragnarok

This is a Japanese doujin (fan made) game that was made for sale at Japanese game shows, such as Tokyo Game Market. To get one, you had to order in advance and then pick up your copy at the show. It was not made for the general public.

Twilight of the Free Planet's Alliance is a game based on the anime Legends of the Galactic Heroes, which deals with two sides: the Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. Both sides have been fighting a war for over 150 years. In this game, Lord Reinhard invaded Alliance territory. In the anime, this leads to the destruction of the Alliance. This campaign is known as Operation Ragnarök.

The game has a very large six-part map that will fill any dining table, two sheets of counters, two fleet organization sheets, two player aids, and rules. Assembly is required.

The game is based on the Kenshin Joraku rules from Game Journal no.46. They have been adapted and modified to simulate the nature of this space odyssey.

A second part to this game, called War of the Galactic Empire - Imperial Conflict (Lippstadt) and Alliance Invasion, is also available. It adds the Empire portion of the galaxy and scenarios for the Empire's civil war and the invasion of its territory by the Free Planet's Alliance.
