Weeds: The Solo Card Game

Weeds: The Solo Card Game is a simple solo card game that can easily be played in under 5 minutes. The goal is to finish with your garden clear of as many weeds as possible.

The Weed deck consists of 18 Weed cards and 9 Weed Killer cards. The Weed and Weed Killer cards are separated into two piles. Each Weed card is unique and has 6 images of a varying degree of weed size: Small (green) weeds with a value of 1, Medium (blue) weeds are 2, and Large (red) weeds are 3.

In Stage 1: without the use of Weed Killer you're trying to control the growth of weeds in your garden. The 18 card Weed deck is shuffled and played in order of appearance. Start by playing the top card in the middle of a clean table. Future cards are played on top of already played cards and may be turned at a desired right angle. Weed images may only cover their identical weed image (green on green, blue on blue, and red on red).

Stage 2: Once all Weed cards in Stage 1 have been played a supply of Weed Killer arrives. Using only 6 Weed Killer cards (9 are supplied) cover as many weed images as possible. The Weed Killer cards may also be turned at any right angle. Once the 6 Weed Killer cards are played most likely there will be weeds still visible. Count the number of Weed Points remaining. Hopefully you can kill all the weeds.
