At the beginning of the game, survivors receive specific starting equipment: one pistol, one firefighter's axe, one carpenter's hammer, and three truncheons. Additionally, during setup, two Molotov cocktails, all 'Bat with Nails' cards, and all 'Pistol with Bayonet' cards are set aside from the item deck. These specific items are reserved for the Pimp car, which can be searched later in the game.

O tură
A player's turn consists of performing actions such as moving, searching for items, attacking zombies (melee or ranged), and interacting with new elements like switches. After all players have taken their turns, the zombie phase begins. During this phase, all zombies on the board activate, moving towards survivors or attacking if in range. New zombies then spawn from designated spawn points based on drawn zombie cards, which can now include Berserker zombies.
Punctaj
Players accumulate experience points (XP) by killing zombies and achieving scenario objectives. As survivors gain XP, they advance through different danger levels (blue, yellow, orange, red), unlocking new skills. These skills can significantly enhance their combat abilities, movement, or other actions, making them more effective against the growing zombie threat. The game features a new priority order for targeting zombies at a distance, detailed on the back of the rulebook.

The game concludes in one of two ways: either the survivors successfully complete all the objectives specified in the chosen scenario, leading to a victory, or all survivors are eliminated by the zombies, resulting in a loss. The introduction of Zombivivors adds a new layer to survival, as a survivor who takes two wounds from a zombie becomes a Zombivivor instead of dying immediately, continuing the fight with new rules and abilities.

To succeed, players should prioritize melee combat against Berserker zombies, as they are immune to ranged attacks. Utilize the unique line of sight rules within the prison, where vision extends indefinitely down corridors but only to the next zone in rooms. Strategically activate switches to open doors of the same color, and manipulate rotating security doors to control zombie movement. Also, be aware of the new car types: the Taxi (searchable like a room), the High-Power Car (moves an extra zone), and the Hippie Car (does not run over zombies when moving).
