Slalom Parola

Can you guess a word without ever saying the letter A, while your opponents... disturb you by counting out loud? With crazy restrictions and obligations, this party game will test your language skills, alertness, and strategy!

Slalom Parola is a fun team game for 4-16 players aged 10-99, lasting about 30 minutes. Players take turns being the "Oratore," who must make their team guess a word within the time of an hourglass while respecting restriction cards. The game includes 60 word cards, 52 restriction cards, 24 score cards, a card board, and an hourglass. Players divide into 2-4 teams, with each team deciding on a color for word pairs. The Oratore picks a word card and restriction cards, then tries to get their team to guess the word while following the restrictions. If the team guesses correctly, they discard their restriction cards and take score cards based on the number of restrictions used. The game ends when a team reaches 25 points or runs out of restriction cards. The team with the most points wins, with higher-value score cards breaking ties. If the Oratore breaks a rule or runs out of time, an opponent can say "Slalom!" to end the turn. The Oratore cannot use made-up words, parts of the word, morphological clues, derived or compound words, show the card, or make gestures. They can use other words, lateral thinking, sounds, or songs to hint at the word.
