Aeon's End

To set up Aeon's End, players choose a nemesis, place its health and minion cards, and lay out a randomized market of gems, relics, and spells. Each player selects a mage with a unique starting deck, starting health, breach setup, and special ability, while Gravehold's central health tracker is set to thirty.

The main objective is to survive the relentless attacks of the nemesis and reduce its health to zero before it destroys Gravehold's defenses or overwhelms the players.

During a turn, players draw a card from the shuffled turn order deck to see who acts next. Active characters play cards from their hand to generate ether for purchases, focus or open breaches, prep and cast spells, and charge their special abilities. The nemesis then executes its attack and minion activation steps according to its drawn cards.

Aeon's End does not use a traditional victory point scoring system. Success is measured entirely on win-loss outcomes, categorized by survival, remaining Gravehold health, and difficulty level.

The game concludes immediately when the nemesis is defeated, resulting in player victory, or when Gravehold's health drops to zero or a player is defeated with no cards left, resulting in defeat.
