Aeon's End: War Eternal

In Aeon's End: War Eternal, setup involves preparing the players' breach setups, character boards, and starter decks, along with the market supply of gems, relics, and spells. The Nemesis is prepared with its specific boss card, starting minions, and a randomized Nemesis deck. Black tokens are placed on the Nemesis track to represent its health or threat level, ensuring everything is laid out for cooperative defense.

The main objective is entirely cooperative: all players must work together to defeat the Nemesis boss by depleting its health pool to zero while keeping the central city safe from total destruction.

Gameplay revolves around a dynamic turn-order deck where players and the Nemesis take turns in a randomized sequence. During a player turn, breach mages cast prepped spells, buy cards from the supply to build their deck, focus or open breaches, and use character abilities. The Nemesis turn involves unleashing attacks, spawning minions, and triggering boss powers.

There is no traditional point-scoring system in Aeon's End. Success is binary—either the players successfully vanquish the Nemesis or the city falls.

The game ends immediately in victory when the Nemesis's health reaches zero, or in defeat if the city's health drops to zero or players are completely incapacitated.
