The rules, step by step

Setup
To set up the game, players retrieve and roll their available dice, which represent their ships. These ships will be docked at various orbital facilities around the board to perform actions. The game board displays different regions on a planet, orbital facilities, and areas for Alien Tech cards and scoring.
Objective
The ultimate objective in Alien Frontiers Edition X is to be the player with the highest score at the end of the game. This is achieved primarily by colonizing different regions on the planet, managing resources effectively, and strategically utilizing Alien Tech cards and faction abilities to gain an advantage over opponents.
On your turn
On a player's turn, they first retrieve and roll all their available dice (ships). They then dock these ships at various orbital facilities to perform actions. These facilities include the Solar Converter for fuel, Lunar Mines for ore, the Orbital Market for trading, the Colony Constructor for instantly placing colonies, the Colonist Hub for working towards colonies, the Terraforming Station for placing colonies by sacrificing a ship, the Shipyard for increasing their fleet size, and the Alien Artifacts area for acquiring Alien Tech cards. Players can also raid opponents' outposts to steal resources or Alien Tech cards by playing a set of three sequentially numbered ships.
Scoring
Points are scored throughout the game and are not cumulative, but rather a snapshot of the current state. Each placed colony token is worth one point. An additional point is gained if a player controls a territory (has more colonies there than any other player), which also grants them the territory's unique ability. Players holding 'Alien City' or 'Alien Monument' cards gain one point each. The player controlling the territory with the 'Positron Field' also gains an additional point. If another player matches the number of colonies in a territory you control, you lose control and the associated bonus and point.
Game end
The game concludes immediately when a player places their last colony token on the board. After any scores are adjusted as a result of that player's turn, all players compare their current scores. The player with the highest score is declared the winner of Alien Frontiers Edition X.
Tips
Success in Alien Frontiers Edition X hinges on efficient resource management and strategic colonization. Prioritize building your fleet of ships early to access more actions and resources. Focus on controlling territories to gain bonus points and powerful abilities. Alien Tech cards can provide significant advantages, so consider acquiring and utilizing them. Be mindful of your opponents' moves, especially when it comes to raiding and territory control, as points can fluctuate rapidly.
