Arboretum

Players aim to score the most points by laying down paths of different tree colors and species in their personal arboretum, while carefully managing their hand to retain critical cards for end-game scoring.

The game begins by preparing the deck and dealing seven cards to each player. The remaining cards form the draw pile. A player is chosen to start, and initial setup sheets or scorecards are distributed as needed to track points during the game.

On your turn, you draw two cards from the draw pile or any discard pile, play one card from your hand into your personal arboretum, and then discard one card from your hand to end your turn with seven cards.

Scoring involves players revealing relevant cards from their hands to determine who holds the highest value of each species. Only the player with the highest total gets to score their corresponding path in their arboretum.

The game concludes immediately when the draw pile runs out of cards, signaling that players must prepare for the final scoring phase across all tree species.

Strategically keep specific high-value cards in your hand to prevent opponents from scoring particular species paths, and ensure your paths are built with orthogonally adjacent, ascending values.
