The rules, step by step

Setup
Place the main game board, which includes the Promenade (painting market), Musée (museum), and Market Rating track. Shuffle the five painting decks (Cézanne, Degas, Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir) and place them face-down on their designated spots on the Promenade. Deal each player five painting cards as their starting hand. Place the gold and victory point markers on their starting positions on the Market Rating track and the score track, respectively. Set up the museum exhibitions with initial painting cards and bonus tokens as indicated on the board.
Objective
The objective of Art Decko is to accumulate the most victory points by the end of the game. You earn victory points by acquiring paintings, strategically increasing the market value of different painting types, and exhibiting your paintings in the museum to claim valuable bonuses.
On your turn
During your turn, you perform two actions. You can choose to 'Haggle' by discarding one painting card from your hand to draw two new cards. Alternatively, you can 'Acquire' paintings from the Promenade by spending painting cards from your hand equal to or greater than the cost indicated for the desired painting. The spent cards' values are determined by their current market rating. Finally, you can 'Exhibit' a painting in the museum by spending painting cards from your hand equal to or greater than the current exhibition cost. Exhibiting a painting grants immediate victory points and may trigger museum bonuses.
Scoring
At the end of the game, victory points are calculated from several sources. Each painting card in your collection (hand, draw pile, discard pile) is worth points equal to its current market value. Exhibited paintings in the museum provide points based on their exhibition slot. Players also score points for controlling museum exhibition bonuses, which are awarded to the player with the most paintings of a specific type or artist. Finally, any remaining gold tokens are converted into victory points.
Game end
The game concludes immediately when the 12th painting is exhibited in the museum. After this, all players complete their current turn, and then one final round of turns is played. Following the final round, end-game scoring is initiated to determine the winner.
Tips
To maximize your score, try to specialize in a few types of paintings and consistently increase their market value. Don't be afraid to haggle to cycle through your hand for better cards. Carefully consider when to exhibit paintings, as early exhibitions can secure valuable museum bonuses, while later exhibitions might yield more points due to higher market values. Keep an eye on your opponents' collections and market manipulations to anticipate their moves and counter them effectively.
