BANG!

In BANG!, players receive a secret role card determining their team: the visible Sheriff, loyal Deputies who protect the Sheriff, Outlaws trying to eliminate the Sheriff, and the Renegade who wants to be the last survivor. Each player also selects a character card granting special permanent abilities and a specific maximum life total tracked with bullet tokens, alongside a starting hand of cards equal to their health.

The Sheriff and Deputies win by eliminating all Outlaws and the Renegade. Outlaws win by killing the Sheriff. The Renegade wins by being the sole survivor, meaning they must carefully balance helping the Sheriff survive until the end while eliminating everyone else.

A player's turn begins by drawing two cards from the deck. They then enter the play phase, where they can play card types such as BANG! to shoot targets within weapon range, MISSED! to dodge attacks, beer to recover health, and equipment cards placed in front of them for ongoing bonuses. The turn ends when the player discards excess cards down to their current health limit.

The game focuses on survival and elimination rather than traditional point accumulation, though expansions may introduce scoring multipliers or honor systems based on faction success.

The game concludes instantly when the Sheriff dies, resulting in an Outlaw victory unless the Renegade is the sole survivor. Alternatively, the game ends in a Sheriff and Deputy victory the moment all Outlaws and the Renegade are dead.
