The objective of the game is determined by your secret role. The Sheriff and Deputies form a team, aiming to eliminate all Outlaws and Renegades. The Outlaws also form a team, with their goal being to eliminate the Sheriff. Renegades play alone, and their objective is to be the last player standing, which means they must eliminate all other players, including the Sheriff, after all other roles have been eliminated.

Setup
Players receive a secret role (Sheriff, Deputy, Outlaw, or Renegade) and a character card with unique abilities and starting life points (bullets).
The rules, step by step
Setup
To set up, first determine the number of players (3-8) and consult the rulebook to select the appropriate role cards (Sheriff, Deputy, Outlaw, Renegade). Shuffle these roles and deal one face-down to each player; only the Sheriff reveals their role. Next, shuffle the character cards and deal one face-up to each player. Each character has a unique ability and a starting number of life points, represented by bullet tokens. Players take the indicated number of bullet tokens, with the Sheriff receiving two additional bullets. Place the remaining bullet tokens and nine arrow tokens in a central supply, along with the five dice.
Objective
The objective of the game is determined by your secret role. The Sheriff and Deputies form a team, aiming to eliminate all Outlaws and Renegades. The Outlaws also form a team, with their goal being to eliminate the Sheriff. Renegades play alone, and their objective is to be the last player standing, which means they must eliminate all other players, including the Sheriff, after all other roles have been eliminated.
On your turn
The game proceeds in clockwise order, starting with the Sheriff. On your turn, you roll all five dice. You can reroll any or all of the dice up to two more times, for a total of three rolls. After you are satisfied with your rolls or have used all three, you resolve the effects of the dice. Dynamite dice cannot be rerolled; if you roll three or more dynamite, your turn immediately ends, you lose one bullet, and you resolve any other dice. Arrow dice are resolved immediately upon being rolled, requiring you to take an arrow token from the supply.
Scoring
Players lose bullet tokens when they are shot (from Bullseye dice or Gatling Gun) or when the Indians attack (from Arrow tokens). If a player loses all their bullet tokens, they are eliminated from the game and must reveal their role card. Any arrow tokens held by an eliminated player are returned to the supply. Beer dice allow you to recover one bullet, which can be given to yourself or another player, but you can never exceed your character's maximum life points.
Game end
The game ends immediately when one of the following conditions is met: if all Outlaws and Renegades are eliminated, the Sheriff and Deputies win. If the Sheriff is eliminated, and the Renegade is the only player remaining, the Renegade wins. If the Sheriff is eliminated and there are no Renegades left, or if the Renegades are eliminated before the Sheriff, the Outlaws win.
Tips
Pay close attention to the unique abilities of each character, as these can significantly influence your strategy and interactions with other players. Strategic use of Beer dice can keep key allies (or yourself) in the game longer. Managing your arrow tokens is crucial, as accumulating too many can lead to significant damage during an Indian attack. Observing other players' actions and revealed roles can help you deduce their allegiances and target the correct opponents.
