Bohnanza

To set up Bohnanza, each player is dealt a hand of cards. A unique rule of Bohnanza is that players are not allowed to reorder or organize the cards in their hand after they are dealt. The order in which cards are received must be maintained, which adds a strategic layer to hand management throughout the game.

The primary objective of Bohnanza is to accumulate the most points by the end of the game. Points are earned by planting various types of bean cards, harvesting them when you have enough of a single type, and converting these harvested beans into coins. The player with the highest total value of coins wins.

A player's turn begins by planting the top bean card from their hand into one of their available bean fields. After this mandatory plant, the player can optionally plant a second bean from their hand. Then, two cards are drawn from the deck and placed face-up on the table, initiating a trading phase where the active player and others can negotiate trades for these visible cards or cards from their hands. Finally, the active player draws three new cards from the deck and adds them to the back of their hand, maintaining the strict order of cards.

Scoring occurs when a player decides to harvest a bean field. Each bean card has a 'beanometer' indicating how many beans of that type are needed to earn a certain number of coins. For example, a certain number of beans might yield one coin, while a larger number yields two or more. When a field is harvested, the player collects the corresponding number of coins based on the beanometer, and the remaining beans (if any) are discarded.

The game of Bohnanza ends when the draw deck has been exhausted and reshuffled for the third time. Once the deck runs out for the third time, players complete their current turns, and then all players harvest their remaining bean fields. All the coins collected by each player are then tallied, and the player with the highest total coin count is declared the winner.
