Bomb Busters

To set up Bomb Busters, place the central game board on the table. Depending on the player count (2 to 5), distribute the designated card supports and cable tiles evenly among players. Shuffle the cable tiles and place them facedown, then randomly draw the required red and yellow cables based on the active mission card. Set up five random equipment cards from the deck on the board, and position the player tokens and danger meter appropriately.

The main objective of Bomb Busters is purely cooperative: players act as bomb technicians trying to completely disarm a ticking explosive device by safely cutting all correct cables. Communication, deduction, and careful logic are essential to avoid mistakes that could detonate the bomb.

During a turn, players take actions to investigate and cut cables. Actions include cutting in pairs by asking a teammate about a specific tile number, using special character abilities like the captain's double detector, or activating equipment cards such as walkie-talkies, radar, or stabilisers. Deductions must be made carefully to ensure correct cable selection.

Bomb Busters does not use a traditional points-based scoring system. Instead, success is measured by successfully completing the campaign's missions—progressing through 66 available missions—and maintaining game stability without dropping the danger meter into the red zone.

The game ends in victory as soon as players successfully remove all cables from their supports without causing an explosion. Conversely, the game ends in immediate defeat if a wrong red cable is cut or if the danger meter reaches the skull symbol due to multiple deduction errors.
