Canadian Checkers, played mainly in Quebec, uses the same rules as International Checkers except that it's played on a larger (12 x 12) board with 30 pieces per side.

I.e. unpromoted pieces move one space diagonally forwards but can jump over an enemy piece diagonally forwards and backwards to capture. Promoted pieces can fly as far as desired in any diagonal direction (and capture along the way). As in most games of the Checkers family, it is mandatory to capture as many pieces as possible on a turn.
