Setup

Assemble the modular hex map, assign civilizations, and distribute starting resources, action cards, and technology dials.

The rules, step by step

Setup
Players begin setup by constructing the modular game board using terrain tiles based on player count, creating varied landscapes of forests, mountains, deserts, and waters. Each participant selects a civilization leader, taking their corresponding player board, action card deck, caravan figures, control tokens, and a technology focus dial set to zero. Wonder cards, barbarian tokens, and diplomacy cards are arranged near the board alongside resource and trade tokens to complete the ready-to-play environment.
Objective
The ultimate goal is to achieve total supremacy by fulfilling two distinct victory agendas listed on your unique goal cards. These objectives test different aspects of your empire, such as economic might, technological innovation, territorial control, or the construction of iconic world wonders.
On your turn
A player's turn consists of selecting one of their five action cards currently laid out in a row on their player board. The card's rank determines the strength of the action and how far it can reach across specific terrain types. After resolving the action, the chosen card is moved to the leftmost position of the row, and all other cards shift right, organically altering their availability and effectiveness for future turns.
Scoring
Progress is measured not by traditional points, but by directly accomplishing the specific tasks on your victory cards. When a condition is met, you place a control token on that card, locking in your progress toward the winning threshold.
Game end
The game ends immediately when a player successfully places a control token on the second and final victory condition card, cementing their civilization's place in history as the undisputed winner.
Tips
Efficient action sequencing is vital since reusing actions requires waiting for them to cycle through your row. Balance aggressive territorial expansion with technological research, and use diplomacy tokens wisely to navigate interactions with neighboring empires and barbarians.
