Clinic: Deluxe Edition

Clinic: Deluxe Edition is set up by placing the main central board containing action tracks, business phases, and administration trackers in the center of the table. All patient cubes, staff meeples (doctors, nurses, assistants), cars, and hospital modules are organized into supply trays. Each player receives a personal player board representing hospital floors, starting funds, and initial staff and car tokens. Patient bags and staff recruitment pools are prepared according to player count.

The main goal is to build, expand, and operate the most efficient and prestigious hospital possible over seven eras. Players must construct treatment rooms, service hubs, and special modules while admitting and treating patients of varying severity to maximize their hospital's revenue and final reputation score.

Each era is divided into three turns consisting of action selection, business phases, and administration. During the action phase, players choose action tiles to construct hospital modules, hire doctors and nurses from the university, or admit patients into their facility. Players then move staff and patients, treat cases in their treatment rooms and operating rooms, collect revenue, and pay salaries during the business phase. Finally, the administration phase resets turn order, updates staff levels, and prepares the hospital for the next era.

Scoring revolves around treating patients successfully, which generates revenue and boosts hospital reputation. Doctors and nurses earn reputation based on their specialization level at the end of the game, while built hospital expansions also contribute bonus points if fully prepared for operation.

The game concludes at the end of the seventh era. Final scores are calculated by summing reputation points from treated patients, staff, and hospital expansions, then subtracting penalties for untreated patients, deaths, and excess time spent.
