Coffee Traders

Set up the game by placing the large horizontal central board displaying the five global coffee co-ops (Colombia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Guatemala, and Brazil) in the middle of the table. Each player takes a large player board, organizing their company supplies, starting action cubes, coins, and initial worker pools as indicated for the two-player variant.

The main goal of Coffee Traders is to accumulate the highest number of victory points by the end of three rounds. Players achieve this by strategically building plantations within different global co-ops, harvesting coffee beans, fulfilling shipping contracts, and contributing to coffee bars.

Gameplay unfolds over three rounds, each consisting of six distinct phases: the Work phase (placing action cubes), the Workers phase (assigning workers to plantations), the Traders and Contractors phase (deploying merchants and building infrastructure), the Harvest phase (gathering coffee beans from co-ops), the Contracts phase (fulfilling orders and supplying coffee bars), and the Refresh phase (resetting boards and collecting income).

At the conclusion of the third round, players tally final scores based on area majorities in each of the five co-ops, leftover components and trucks, arabica and counter-track positions, completed contracts, and achieved game milestones.

The game concludes automatically at the end of the third round, immediately proceeding to the final scoring phase where all victory points are tallied to crown the winning coffee trader.
