Copenhagen

To set up Copenhagen, players receive a building board and facade tiles in various shapes and sizes. Color cards are displayed in rows, and the deck of cards is prepared by placing the game-ending card somewhere in the bottom ten cards, ensuring players do not know exactly when the game will conclude.

The main objective of Copenhagen is to be the first player to reach or exceed 12 points by cleverly placing facade tiles onto your building board to represent architectural features of the city.

During a player's turn, they must choose between two main actions: drawing two color cards from the available display (following the rule that they must be adjacent or match certain criteria) or spending cards to purchase and place facade tiles onto their building board. Placing tiles requires paying with cards of the matching color and shape.

Players score points by covering specific elements on their building board. Covering entire rows grants two points, covering vertical columns or rows of windows provides bonus points, and filling special areas unlocks permanent discount or bonus action abilities for future turns.

The game concludes immediately when the game-ending card is revealed from the bottom of the card deck. After the current round finishes, final scores are tallied, and the player with the highest score wins.
