Setting up CoraQuest involves organizing dungeon tiles into specific quest layouts, shuffling monster, treasure, and gear decks, and distributing character boards to players. Each player selects a hero with unique abilities, weapons, and starting health tokens. Place exploration and danger markers around the board to track progress and encounters, ensuring everything is ready for cooperative play.

The main objective of CoraQuest is to complete specific scenario goals while keeping all participating heroes alive. Players must navigate treacherous dungeon tiles, defeat various monsters such as goblins, orcs, and spiders, and uncover hidden treasures and gear to strengthen their characters before confronting the final challenge.

During a turn, heroes take actions in any order, which include moving through the dungeon, exploring uncharted tiles, searching for items, and attacking adjacent or ranged enemies. Monsters also activate during their designated phase, moving and attacking heroes based on their specific stats and behaviors, creating a dynamic tactical puzzle.

Scoring in CoraQuest is cooperative rather than competitive, measured by successfully completing scenario objectives, finding valuable treasure, and defeating challenging foes. Players earn rewards and tokens that reflect their achievements and aid in tracking progress toward winning the current quest.

The game concludes when the scenario objectives are successfully met, resulting in victory, or when all heroes lose their health points and fall in battle, resulting in defeat. Once a game ends, players can reset the board and choose a different quest for a new adventure.
