Ancient, ethereal, deadly. They exist as both myth and legend to some races. But those who know of them, know to be wary.

Those who do, call you Shadow. In the Crown of Night under the blood moon, as one of the Chosen, you have gathered to choose a champion to go to the Temple of Prophecy.

You will be the champion of your kind. You alone with be the most powerful and important aai’aiuun’shuun to ever exist.

It is your destiny.

The Shadows are adept at mixing and absorbing concoctions to give them temporary powers and allow them more direct influence in the mortal realm. It is fitting their champion will be the one most adept at increasing their power to go to the Temple of Prophecy.

In this card game, players work to both increase their ingredients to be able to complete recipes from the limited draw pile, and to hamper their opponents without being seen by the Adjudicator.

If a player takes an action that the Adjudicator sees, or uses their special powers they will lose reputation which negatively affects their gameplay.

The play area has a place for face up ingredients, but also has three card spots where players may have face down cards to hide ingredient or action cards from other players. But be careful, without an event you can't look at these cards and if you fail in an attempt to brew the Adjudicator will punish you.

Players will need to make decisions using their cards and timing to make potions that both give them points to help them win the game, as well as to be able to use these powers in the Temple of Prophecy where they can port their Champion.

This game can be played as a standalone game or within the Temple of Prophecy series.
