Detective Club

To set up Detective Club, each participant receives a player token and a matching player plaque, along with six random cards from the clue card deck. One player is randomly chosen to be the first leader, receiving an active pencil and notebooks numbered one less than the total player count. The game supports 4 to 8 players, with play order and leader rotations adjusting depending on the total participant count.

The primary objective for the detectives is to deduce which player is acting as the conspirator, secretly collaborating with the leader without knowing the exact secret word. Meanwhile, the leader and the conspirator must work together to avoid detection and mislead the detective group.

During each round, the leader secretly writes a single word into all notebooks except one, handing them out so one player receives a blank notebook and becomes the conspirator. The leader plays a card matching the word, and each detective plays two cards sequentially that fit the word concept. Finally, all players explain their card associations, and everyone places accusation tokens on who they believe the conspirator is.

Detectives earn 3 points for placing their accusation token next to the conspirator's plaque. If too many or too few players suspect the conspirator, the leader and conspirator score points, whereas correct moderate suspicion rewards both detectives and the conspirator.

The game continues in a series of rounds until every participant has taken a turn acting as the leader the required number of times based on player count. Players sum up their victory point tokens, and the individual with the highest overall score wins.
