Dice Throne

Dice Throne setup involves each player selecting a unique hero, taking their corresponding hero board, health and combat point dials, and a starting deck of cards. Both players start with 50 health points, 2 combat points, and draw 4 cards from their deck. Players then roll a die to determine turn order, with the higher roll going first.

The core objective of Dice Throne is head-to-head combat survival. Players must leverage their specific hero's tactical strengths, offensive abilities, defensive reactions, and status effects to systematically deplete their opponent's health pool from fifty down to zero while protecting their own.

A player's turn is carefully structured into sequential phases: Upkeep (resolving status effects), Income (gaining combat points and drawing cards), Main Phase 1 (upplaying cards, upgrading abilities, or selling cards), Offensive Roll Phase (rolling dice up to three times to activate an ability), Targeting Phase (if multiplayer), Defensive Roll Phase (defending against incoming attacks), Main Phase 2, and Discard Phase.

Scoring and damage are dynamically calculated during the Offensive and Defensive roll phases. Players roll five dice up to three times, keeping desired dice between rolls, to match specific number or symbol combinations printed on their hero board. Successfully completed ability requirements trigger attacks, inflicting base damage, status effects, or healing.

The game concludes as soon as one player successfully reduces their opponent's health counter to zero. The surviving player claims the throne, winning the game and establishing their dominance.
