Setup

Players pick a villain, take their board, decks, and mover, placing the mover on the leftmost realm space and drawing four cards.

The rules, step by step

Setup
Each player selects a Disney villain and collects their matching villain board, villain deck, fate deck, villain mover, and reference cards. Place your villain board facing you and set your villain mover on the leftmost location. Some rightmost locations begin with a lock token, so place a lock on those spaces. Shuffle your villain deck, draw a starting hand of four cards, and place the rest to the left of your board. Shuffle the fate deck and place it to the right. Finally, place the power cauldron with all power tokens within reach of all players, and distribute starting power tokens based on player order.
Objective
Every villain has a completely unique winning condition described on their player board and detailed in their villain guide. Unlike traditional games, players do not share a common victory path; you must fulfill your specific narrative objective, such as defeating a hero, collecting items, or spreading curses across your realm.
On your turn
On your turn, you must follow three sequential steps: first, move your villain mover to a new location on your board, ensuring you do not stay on the same space; second, perform any uncovered actions visible at that location in any order you choose; and third, replenish your hand to four cards by drawing from your villain deck if you have fewer.
Scoring
Power tokens act as the game's currency. You gain power through specific board actions and spend it to play cards like allies, items, and effects, or to activate special card abilities.
Game end
The game continues in clockwise order until one player successfully completes their villain's unique objective, at which point that player is immediately declared the winner.
Tips
Carefully read your villain guide before the game begins to understand your character's mechanics. Pay close attention to fate actions, as opponents will use them to place heroes in your realm and disrupt your strategy.
