Dixit: Journey

To set up Dixit: Journey, each player is dealt six cards from the deck. One player is then designated as the storyteller for the current round. The game board, which includes a scoring track and spaces for placing cards, is set up in the center of the playing area. Each player also receives a set of numbered tokens corresponding to the number of players, which will be used for voting.

The objective of Dixit: Journey is for the storyteller to provide a clue that is neither too obvious nor too obscure. The clue should be subtle enough that at least one, but not all, of the other players can correctly identify the storyteller's card among the others. For the other players, the goal is to correctly guess the storyteller's card and to have other players mistakenly guess their own card.

During a turn, the storyteller selects one card from their hand and gives a clue (a word, phrase, or sentence) related to it, without revealing the card. Other players then choose a card from their own hand that they believe best matches the storyteller's clue. All chosen cards, including the storyteller's, are shuffled and laid face-up on the board. Players then use their numbered tokens to secretly vote for the card they think belongs to the storyteller.

Scoring in Dixit: Journey is as follows: If all players or no players guess the storyteller's card, the storyteller scores zero points, and other players score two points each. If at least one but not all players guess the storyteller's card, both the storyteller and the players who guessed correctly score three points. Additionally, any player whose card was chosen by another player (other than the storyteller) scores one bonus point for each vote their card received.

The game concludes when the last card from the draw pile has been drawn, or when any player reaches a predetermined score (usually 30 points) on the scoring track. The player with the highest total score at this point is declared the winner of Dixit: Journey.
