Dominion: Intrigue

Setting up Dominion: Intrigue involves preparing the supply piles. Players start with a standard deck consisting of seven copper coins and three estate victory cards. Ten randomized Kingdom card piles are chosen from the expansion's unique options, along with basic treasure, victory, and curse cards placed within reach of all players to form the main supply.

The primary objective of Dominion: Intrigue is to construct an efficient deck that balances purchasing power, action capabilities, and victory points. Players compete to amass the most valuable kingdom by acquiring treasures, actions, and victory cards throughout the game sessions.

During a turn, players execute an Action phase to play action cards that grant extra actions, card draws, or coins. Next, the Buy phase allows players to spend their accumulated coin value to purchase new cards from the supply. Finally, the Clean-up phase discards played and remaining hand cards, drawing a new hand of five cards.

Scoring happens exclusively at the end of the game. Players count all Victory Points present on every card located in their hand, discard pile, and draw deck, with the highest total winning the game.

The game triggers its conclusion when the Province victory card pile is completely exhausted, or alternatively, when any three supply piles are emptied during the game.
