Dune: Imperium – Uprising

To set up Dune Imperium Uprising, place the main game board in the center of the table. Separate conflict cards by level and create a face-down stack with level three on the bottom, level two in the middle, and level one on top. Shuffle the intrigue and Imperium decks, place them near the board, and reveal five cards to form the Imperium row. Set up reserve cards like Spice Must Flow and Prepare the Way. Players choose a leader, take their matching player pieces, resources, and starting decks containing signature cards. Distribute starting water, solaris, and troops to player garrisons, and randomly deal objective cards to determine the first player.

The primary objective is to accumulate victory points, aiming to be the first player to reach at least 10 points. Players compete for dominance through strategic placement, political influence with powerful factions, resource management, and military victories in conflicts.

The game is played over multiple rounds. Each round begins with a round start phase where a new conflict card is revealed and players draw five cards. During the player turns phase, players alternate taking agent turns by playing a card to send workers to matching board spaces, or taking a reveal turn to show remaining cards for persuasion and military strength.

Victory points are scored dynamically throughout the game by reaching specific milestones. Players earn points by advancing to the second level of faction influence tracks, securing faction alliances, winning first or second place in the round's military conflict, completing objectives, and matching conflict battle icon pairs.

The game concludes at the end of any round where at least one player has amassed 10 or more victory points or when the conflict deck is completely empty. Final endgame intrigue cards are resolved, and the player with the most points wins, with tie-breakers decided by remaining spice, solaris, water, and troops.
