Earth

During setup in Earth, each player receives a player board along with a randomly dealt island card, climate card, and ecosystem card, which dictate your starting resources and long-term scoring goals. Players also place soil tokens, sprout cubes, growth pieces, and canopy markers in designated reserve pools around the central fauna board.

The main objective of Earth is to construct a flourishing 4x4 island ecosystem by playing flora, terrain, and event cards into your personal grid. You are competing to build the most efficient ecological engine and score the highest number of victory points through card synergies, resources, and shared goals.

On your turn, you select one of four core actions: Planting cards by paying soil, Composting cards to gain soil and compost, Watering to collect sprouts, or Growing to add new cards to your hand and place growth tokens. When you take your main action, all other players simultaneously perform a weaker version of that action.

Endgame scoring is comprehensive and rewards you for every element of your ecosystem. You score points based on card values, accumulated sprouts and canopy markers, trunks on your flora, completed global fauna goals, and private ecosystem objectives.

The game's final triggering condition occurs the moment any player successfully completes their 4x4 grid. Play continues until every player has taken an equal number of turns for that final round before proceeding to final scoring.
