Elysium

Elysium is set up by placing the central Agora board, distributing player boards with four column color markers, and arranging the quest tiles, victory point tokens, and gold pools. A randomized deck of cards featuring five distinct Greek god families (such as Hermes, Zeus, Hephaestus, Athena, and Hades) is shuffled, and specific numbers of cards are laid out in the Agora for each of the five epochs of the game.

The main objective in Elysium is to collect sets of cards representing heroic legends and myths, drafting them into your personal domain before transferring them to your immortal Elysium. Players compete to earn the highest amount of victory points by forming complete family sets and claiming prestige tokens.

Each round consists of a drafting phase where players take turns acquiring cards from the Agora matching their remaining column colors, followed by a transfer phase where cards are moved into Elysium to become legends. During your turn, you must discard a column of your choice, which limits your future card options, and you can trigger card abilities, spend gold, or acquire quest tiles that dictate turn order and transfer limits for the next round.

Scoring happens primarily at the end of the game, where players earn victory points based on the value and completeness of card families stored in their Elysium. Sets of cards containing numbers one through three within the same family yield major points, while single unlinked cards are discarded without scoring. Additionally, bonus prestige tiles awarded during play contribute significantly to the final score.

The game concludes automatically at the end of the fifth epoch. After all final transfers and end-game card abilities are resolved, players tally their victory point tokens, family set scores, and any remaining bonuses to crown the winner.
