Set up the game by preparing the board, placing decks, and distributing player components according to the chosen scenario. Each player takes their starting board, worker pieces, and tracking discs, ready to begin their deep-sea expedition.

On a player's turn, they recruit new workers, perform various actions on the board, and place tracking discs onto action tracks to advance their progress and trigger special abilities.

Players earn victory points at the end of the game from completed conservation efforts, exploration milestones, journal goals, and successful worker development tracks.

The game ends after a set number of rounds or once specific scenario end conditions are met, leading directly into final point tallies.
