EXIT: The Game – The Pharaoh's Tomb

To set up the game, place the rulebook and the decoder disk on the table while leaving any strange items inside the box for now. Sort all the cards into three distinct piles consisting of riddle cards, answer cards, and help cards. It is absolutely crucial that you do not look at the card fronts during this sorting process. Arrange your riddle and answer cards in ascending order, and stack your help cards by their matching symbols with the first clue on top. Additionally, gather a few pencils, an eraser, blank sheets of paper, a watch or stopwatch, and optionally a pair of scissors.

Your main objective in this cooperative escape room game is to escape the mysterious burial chamber. To achieve this, you and your group of one to six players must work together to solve all the puzzles and riddles before your time runs out, experiencing an adventure that typically takes roughly one to two hours.

During your turn, you will locate riddles and solve them to obtain a three-part code. Enter this code into the decoder disk directly under the matching riddle symbol, then look closely at the small viewing window on the disk to reveal an answer card number. If your code is incorrect, the answer card will tell you to return it to the pile and try again. If the code is possibly correct, the card will display several locations and ask where you saw the riddle symbol, leading you to a new answer card if you choose correctly.

Scoring and winning are determined after you escape by calculating your final star rating. Use the rating table which combines your total escape time and your total help cards used. A faster escape time combined with fewer hints yields a higher star rating, ranging up to a maximum of ten stars.

The game officially ends the very second a final card tells you that you have escaped. The game is won the moment this final confirmation card is reached, verifying that your team has successfully navigated out of the pharaoh's tomb.
