Explorers of Navoria

Place the main board in the center and create a supply of weapon, mineral, and food action tokens, placing them into a bag. Separate townspeople cards by their backs into decks, place them on the board, and reveal a row of three cards next to each. Shuffle favor tiles and randomly place four onto the board. Each player takes a player board, a reference card, trading post favor markers, exploration markers, and a turn order marker. Place trading posts on player boards, explorers on starting spaces, and scoring markers on the zero space of the score track. Determine a first player and set turn order.

Players act as explorers sent by the council to discover new continents, recruit allies, build trading posts, and gather hidden treasures. The primary goal is to accumulate the highest number of victory points by the end of three rounds of play.

The game spans three rounds, each divided into recruit, gather, income, and return phases. During the recruit phase, players draw action tokens from the bag to draft townspeople cards with immediate, income, or end-game effects. In the gather phase, players use remaining tokens in reverse turn order to trigger town actions, acquire goods, build trading posts, and advance on exploration tracks.

Points are earned throughout the game by advancing on exploration tracks, fulfilling dock orders with resource combinations, and triggering card abilities. During the income phase, players score points based on specific card collections, flag milestones reached by explorers, and majority positions on exploration tracks.

The game officially ends after completing the income phase of the third round. Players bypass the return phase and proceed directly to final scoring, evaluating soldier cards, favor tile majorities, and card multipliers.
