Fighters of Europe: Aces & Leaders

Fighters of Europe is a fast-paced, simple tactical war game about World War II air battles in Europe.

In this expansion, you’ll find 6 outstanding pilots and their aircrafts in 3 series.

For the first set, we have on one side Robert Standford Tuck (29 victories), who actively participates in the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain. Opposite him we have the legendary Adolf Galland (104 victories) who goes through the whole war from Spain to the defense of the Reich. Both survived the war. Will it be the same under your command?

For the second set we focus on the Battle of France. Pierre Le Gloan, with 18 victories during the battle of France, was known for his aggressiveness and his quick reaction time. With 115 victories to his name, Werner Mölders took part in the Spanish Civil War, the Battle of France (where he was shot down by a D.520) and finally the front line of the Battle of Britain once he had been liberated and promoted.

The third set take place over Germany. Francis Stanley “Gabby” Gabreski (34 + victories) was the commander of the 61st Squadron flying on P-47 Thunderbold. One says that he was “piloting this beast like a bicycle”. He flew mainly to cover the bombers over Germany and scored his victories only against fighters. Want to ride a P-47 like a bicycle? Egon Mayer shot down 102 enemy aircraft, including 26 bombers, 51 Supermarine Spitfires and 12 Republic P-47 Thunderbolts. He actively participated in the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain where he was shot down 4 times. He ended up as commander of the Jagdgeschwader before being killed in action in November 1944 over France. He was known as an excellent marksman but above all as an excellent tactician.

All these pilots come with their customized aircraft and dedicated special rules .

These pilots can be added to any scenario, including of course those in which they were directly involved. A reference card for each series explains where and when to play them.
