Flash Point: Fire Rescue

To set up the experienced game of Flash Point: Fire Rescue, place the board in the center and position the door markers. Choose a difficulty level from Recruit, Veteran, or Heroic, which determines the number of initial explosions and hazmat tokens. Resolve the specified number of explosions using the black and red dice to place fire and hot spot markers. Assign hazmat tokens and place false alarms and victim tokens, shuffling and placing three of them in separate fire-free spaces. Each player picks a firefighter figure, a matching player card, and a specialist card. Place the fire engines and ambulances on their matching spaces, and position firefighters outside the building.

The objective is cooperative: players work together as firefighters to rescue victims trapped inside a burning building, extinguish fires, manage hazmats, and prevent the building from collapsing due to structural damage from explosions and heavy fire.

During a player's turn, they spend their allotted action points—determined by their specialist card—to perform actions such as moving, extinguishing fire or smoke, opening doors, chopping walls, driving vehicles, or executing a crew change. After taking actions, the advance fire phase is triggered, where smoke can turn into fire, explosions occur based on dice rolls, new hazmats and hot spots are added, flare-ups happen, and poi tokens are replenished.

Victory is achieved when the firefighting team successfully rescues seven or more victims and gets them safely to the ambulance. Defeat occurs if seven or more victims are lost or if the building collapses due to too many wall damages.

The game concludes immediately when either victory conditions are met (seven victims rescued) or defeat conditions are triggered (seven victims lost or building collapse), bringing the rescue mission to its ultimate conclusion.
