Setup

Shuffle the deck, deal one face-up card to each player, and place any action cards revealed during dealing into a separate action pile to be resolved before continuing to deal.

The rules, step by step

Setup
To set up the game, first, choose a dealer to shuffle the deck of 94 cards. The deck is special, containing 12 cards of number 12, 11 cards of number 11, and so on, down to 1 card of number 1. There is also one 'Zero' card, one of each score modifier card, and three copies of each action card. The dealer then deals one card face-up to each player, including themselves. If an action card is revealed during this process, resolve its effect immediately before continuing to deal to the next player. Some players might receive number cards, score modifiers, or action cards, while others might receive no cards or multiple cards depending on the action cards dealt.
Objective
The main objective of Flip 7 is to be the first player to accumulate 200 points. Points are primarily earned by collecting number cards, with additional bonus points available for achieving specific card combinations or utilizing certain action cards effectively. Players must strategically decide when to draw more cards and when to stop to avoid busting and losing their points for the round.
On your turn
Starting with the player to the dealer's left, play proceeds clockwise. On your turn, you have two options: 'Hit' or 'Stay'. If you 'Hit', the dealer turns over another card for you. Place number cards in a single row and score modifier cards above them. If the new card is a different number from those you already have, you are safe and your potential score increases. If the new card is a duplicate of a number card you already possess, you 'Bust', lose all your cards for the round, and score no points. If you 'Stay', you exit the round and accumulate points based on the total value of the number cards in front of you. You cannot 'Stay' if you have no cards in front of you.
Scoring
Points are scored based on the total value of the number cards in front of you when you 'Stay' or when the round ends. Action cards and score modifier cards do not count towards the 'Flip 7' bonus. The 'Zero' card, while not worth points itself, can help achieve the 'Flip 7' bonus. If you manage to turn over seven unique number cards (action and modifier cards excluded), you immediately receive a 15-point bonus, and the round ends for everyone. Score modifier cards (e.g., +2, +10, x2) apply to the sum of your number cards. If you have a 'x2' card, multiply the sum of your number cards by two first, then add any other '+' modifier cards.
Game end
A round continues until either all players have either 'Busted' or 'Stayed', or one player successfully turns over seven unique number cards. At the end of each round, all used cards are set aside without being reshuffled into the main deck. The remaining deck is passed to the player on the left, who becomes the new dealer. The game concludes at the end of a round when at least one player has reached 200 points. The player with the highest score at that point wins. In case of a tie, tied players play one more round to determine the winner.
Tips
Be mindful of the card distribution: higher-value number cards have more copies in the deck, increasing the risk of busting. Use 'Freeze' action cards to force an opponent to stop and score their current points, potentially preventing them from getting a better score or busting. The 'Flip Three' card forces you to accept three more cards, which can be risky but also rewarding if you avoid duplicates. The 'Second Chance' card can save you from busting by allowing you to discard a duplicate card, but remember you can only hold one 'Second Chance' card at a time. Strategic use of these action cards is crucial for managing risk and maximizing your score.
