Food Chain Magnate

Food Chain Magnate setup begins by giving each player a CEO card, a starting set of employees, house tiles, and cash reserve cards. Players arrange their restaurant tiles on the board, establish their initial supply of food and drinks, and prepare their human capital pools to begin hiring staff.

The main goal of Food Chain Magnate is to build and manage the most profitable fast-food empire. Players compete to satisfy customer demands for burgers and drinks by strategically placing restaurants, launching marketing campaigns, and hiring skilled employees to outmaneuver rivals.

Turns are structured in specific phases: Restructuring to organize employee networks, Order of Business to determine turn order based on open slots, Working 9 to 5 to execute actions like hiring and marketing, Dinnertime where customers buy food, Paydays to pay salaries, Marketing Campaigns to update demand, and Cleanup.

Scoring happens during Dinnertime, where customer tokens move from houses to restaurants based on price, distance, and demand. Players earn cash based on base prices adjusted by discount managers, luxury managers, and garden bonuses, plus potential multipliers from the CFO.

The game ends when the bank runs out of money twice, known as breaking the bank. Once the second reserve cards are revealed and final payouts are calculated for the current round, the game concludes, and the player with the most total money wins.
