Formaggio

Setup involves placing the central rotating game board along with the four quadrant modules: Vigneto, Banca, Regioni, and Venezia. Each player receives a player board, score pad, and a set of meeple workers in their chosen color. Start by distributing initial resources, structures, and order cards as specified by the rules. The central wheel is oriented to match starting player turns and seasonal bonuses.

The main objective of Formaggio is to score the most victory points by efficiently managing resources, crafting various types of cheese, and fulfilling specific order cards. Players must balance their production across multiple quadrants of the board to capitalize on different scoring mechanisms before the game concludes.

On your turn, you first reclaim any worker meeples whose current quadrant orientation is facing you. Then, you may utilize your available workers to gather resources such as fruit and livestock, make new cheeses of various types, or claim and fulfill order cards. Actions are restricted by worker availability and quadrant constraints.

Scoring happens at the end of the game based on four distinct quadrants: Vigneto rewards completed wine bottle tracks; Banca awards points for rows and columns of cheese; Regioni multiplies regions by flag icons; and Venezia scores based on gondolas adjacent to your cheeses. Additional points come from player board structures, fruit multipliers, and unused resources.

The game concludes when any player completely runs out of cheese pieces during the simultaneous action phase. Once the triggering condition is met, players complete their current actions and proceed directly to full end-game scoring.
