Fromage

Fromage is designed for 1 to 4 players aged 14 and older, playing in about 40 minutes. Players set up their personal farm boards featuring buildings, livestock, fruit, and objective collections, alongside a central rotating board divided into four major sections containing scoring areas, resource regions, fairs, and bistros.

The main goal is to become the most successful creamery by strategically placing workers to produce, age, and serve various French cheeses, fulfilling objectives, and gaining majorities across different regions of France to score the highest number of victory points.

During each round, players simultaneously place up to one worker on the visible scoring section and one on the visible resource section of the central board. Workers correspond to soft, pressed, and parsleyed cheese types. Placing workers lets players acquire buildings, collect resources like fruits and livestock, and advance their cheese production. After each round, the board rotates clockwise, changing accessible sections.

Scoring is multifaceted: players gain points from regional majorities, fair trading routes, completed objective cards matching cheese types, bistro placements, and filling entire cheese tables. Bonuses are awarded for efficient resource conversion and achieving exclusive table completions.

The game concludes when a player runs out of cheese at the end of a round. Final scoring is then tallied across all board locations, objectives, preserves, and remaining resources, and the player with the highest total wins the game.
