Game Set Match

Each player represents a tennis player at the height of their career and will have to defeat their opponents using well-researched plays and keen intuition. In this intense game of attack and counterattack, to execute the perfect shot, players must be able to respond to the opponent's.

Game Set Match is the result of CODEC, a Portuguese card game contest organized by the publisher Art and Games, board game café "A jogar é que a gente se entende" and the project "Board Game Friendly".

Players receives 7 stroke cards The court card and the cards that define the “Game Flow” are placed in the center of the table.

The serving player receives the service card he places on the table, visible to everyone, and receives an extra card for his hand. It then chooses a beat from among the cards in his hand and places it on the table (player play line), advancing one position in Game Flow.

To respond, the opponent will have to place on the table a card or set of cards with reactions that correspond to the opponent's hit. Each of the three symbols to the left of a card are reactions: the ball's effect, the type of hit, and the field zone. After choosing the reaction cards, the player must move the Game Flow according to the number of reactions that matched the opponent's hit. The last card placed on the play line (rightmost card) is considered his hit to be reacted by the opponent.

Players continue to alternately Match the opponent's hits until one of the players manages to reveal the number 4 in Game Flow, thus ending the Point.

The first player to reach the 4th point (15-30-40-game) wins the game, the set and the match.

Cada jogador representa um tenista no auge da sua carreira e terá que derrotar os seus oponentes com recurso a jogadas bem estudadas e uma intuição apurada. Neste jogo intenso de ataque e contra-ataque, para executar a pancada perfeita os jogadores têm de conseguir responder à do adversário.

Os jogadores recebem 7 cartas de batidas A carta court e a as cartas que definem o Game Flow são colocadas no centro da mesa.

Cada Ponto começa com um Serviço: Serviço O jogador que serve recebe a carta serviço que coloca na mesa, visível para todos, e recebe uma carta extra para a sua mão. Em seguida, escolhe uma batida de entre as cartas da sua mão e coloca na mesa (a sua linha de jogo), avançando uma posição no Game Flow.

Para responder, o adversário terá que colocar na mesa uma carta ou conjunto de cartas com reações que correspondem à batida do adversário. Cada um dos três símbolos à esquerda de uma carta são as reações: o efeito da bola, o tipo de pancada e a zona do campo. Após escolha das cartas de reação, o jogador deve mover o Game Flow de acordo com o número de reações que fizeram match com a batida do adversário. A última carta colocada na Linha de Jogo (carta mais à direita) é considerada a sua batida para ser respondida pelo adversário.

Os jogadores continuam a fazer Match alternadamente às batidas do adversário até que um dos jogadores consiga revelar o número 4 no Game Flow, assim terminando o Ponto.

O primeiro jogador a atingir o 4º ponto, vence o jogo, o set e o match.
