Glass Road

Players begin by setting up their individual player boards, which include resource wheels for tracking glass and brick, and spaces for various buildings. Each player receives a starting set of resources and a hand of character cards. The central game board is populated with landscape tiles and general building options available to all players.

The primary objective of Glass Road is to earn the most victory points. Points are mainly acquired through the construction of various buildings on a player's personal board. Efficient resource management, strategic building placement, and clever card play are essential to maximizing point generation by the end of the game.

A round in Glass Road consists of players simultaneously and secretly selecting five character cards from their hand. Then, in turn order, each player actively plays three of their chosen cards. A unique mechanic is that if a player plays a card, any other player who also selected that same card must play it as well, but they can only use one of its two abilities. This creates a dynamic interaction where players can anticipate and react to opponents' choices.

Victory points are primarily scored from the buildings constructed on a player's board. Each building has specific scoring conditions, often related to adjacent landscape tiles or other buildings. Additionally, players can earn a small number of victory points for leftover resources at the end of the game, encouraging careful resource management throughout.

The game concludes after exactly four rounds of play. Once the final round is completed and all actions are resolved, players calculate their total victory points from their constructed buildings and remaining resources. The player who has accumulated the highest number of victory points is declared the winner of Glass Road.
